Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, dedicated and passionate Maths Tutor to provide educational support to students from KS2 up to A-Levels. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, covering the national curriculum, and possess the ability to communicate effectively and educate students in a way that fosters understanding and confidence.

This is a part time role based in Maidstone, Kent and not an Online position.

Duties

Provide small group tutoring sessions tailored to the individual needs of each student. Develop lesson plans and educational materials that align with the curriculum and learning objectives, especially for GCSE and A-Levels students. Assess students' progress regularly and adjust teaching methods accordingly to ensure effective learning outcomes. Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment that motivates students to engage with the material. Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance. Collaborate with other educators or specialists when necessary.

Requirements

Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, particularly with children. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students and their families. Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and needs. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed academically. Relevant qualifications in education or a related field are advantageous. The post is subject to a clear DBS and other safeguarding checks.
