We are seeking a committed
English Academic Mentor
to provide targeted academic support to students and help raise attainment in English.Working closely with the English department and pastoral staff, the mentor will support students through one-to-one and small-group sessions, focusing on literacy, exam skills, and confidence-building.

Deliver one-to-one and small-group mentoring in
English
Support students with reading, writing, exam preparation, and revision strategies Monitor and track student progress and engagement Work collaboratively with English teachers and pastoral staff Help students develop effective study skills and academic resilience Maintain accurate records of mentoring sessions Act as a positive academic role modelPerson Specification
Degree in
English or a closely related subject
(essential) Strong interest in pursuing acareer in teaching
(desirable) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to motivate and engage learners of differing abilities Well organised, proactive, and reliable Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfareJob Type: Full-time
Pay: 97.68-110.00 per day
