ABOUT THE ROLE



Due to internal promotions, we have opportunities for talented and dynamic graduates with a keen interest in family law to join our Paralegal Academy team in Nottingham, on a full time basis. Due to the nature of these roles and the requirement to hit the ground running it is essential that the right person has a keen interest in family law and a drive to succeed and progress.

These roles will involve providing client and solicitor support within the legal team, attending upon clients, drafting legal documents, dealing with legal aid applications and completing direct casework. You will also provide support in administration, including supporting reception for lunch cover and annual leave.

We are looking for excellent candidates who will work diligently and professionally in pursuit of our clients' instructions. You should be capable of prioritising work in such a way as to ensure that the firm's caseload is progressed efficiently and so, excellent clerical, communication and administration skills will be required. The role involves other necessary tasks to aid in the progression and management of client cases, including an excellent telephone manner, filing, checking post and preparation of files for archive.

These roles are varied within a busy legal practice and so there will be other duties to perform as required by the firm or your supervisor.

As well as gaining invaluable experience within a professional legal firm, you will benefit from the opportunities provided within a busy team working on a varied caseload in all areas of family law matters.

HOW IT WORKS



You will gain incredible experience and mentoring in family law, from specialists in the field. There is a full training plan provided as part of the role.

This would ideally suit those who have just completed their third year and also those seeking to gain as much experience in family law to progress into being a solicitor. We will provide exceptional training.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:



Students towards the end or at the end of their third year or a 2:1 graduate Must have a keen interest in family law and progressing within law Excellent communication and organisational skills Passion for family law and social justice

Hours of work: 9-5pm, Monday - Friday
