We're looking for an Academy Trainer to join us at our Stoke 2 Distribution. This role will be part time alongside your current role.

You'll be the friendly face (and voice) behind engaging, hands-on training--whether that's in person or online. From designing brilliant learning materials to running sessions that actually stick, you'll help colleagues at all levels build confidence, grow their skills, and feel ready for whatever comes next.



But it's not just about delivery. You'll also keep a close eye on how learners are progressing, tweak your approach when needed, and make sure our training stays fresh, relevant, and ready to meet the needs of a fast-moving business.

What you'll be doing

As an Academy Trainer, you'll be right at the heart of helping our colleagues feel confident, capable, and ready to shine. Here's how you'll make that happen:
Give the warmest of welcomes - run our Housewarming sessions for new starters, helping them settle in and feel part of the team from day one Design and deliver brilliant training - create sessions that reflect our values and bring our business to life in a way that's engaging and easy to understand Make learning stick - run workshops, hands-on sessions, and seminars using a mix of techniques to suit all kinds of learners Work closely with leaders - partner with People Partners and managers to spot development needs and co-create learning plans that support growth and performance Measure what matters - gather feedback, track progress, and use insights to keep improving what we do Keep it relevant - collaborate with subject matter experts to make sure our content is accurate, up to date, and genuinely useful Be a coach and cheerleader - offer one-to-one support, guidance, and encouragement to learners throughout their journey Stay curious - keep up with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in learning and development
