We are excited to advertise a new opportunity to join our Specialist Community Forensic Team. SCFT is a Multi-Disciplinary Team that focus on support people in secure mental hospitals in their transition to the community. Equality, Diversity and Inclusion are central to our work. We are looking for someone who:
is passionate about mental health and helping others.
knows about housing pathways and relevant legislation.
understands the different barriers and challenges faced by people using mental health services specially in relation to accommodation needs
can multitask and work well in a clinical professional team with protocols and forms, but also being flexible to adapt to a client's needs and can build meaningful professional relationships
Someone passionate about mental health and who can support Second Step's work bridging the gap between primary and secondary mental health services
The successful candidate will;
Understand the different aspects involved in supporting people with complex needs to access the right kind of support at the right time.
Have knowledge of housing pathways, legislation and selection of accommodation providers and resources available in the sector.
Demonstrate an understanding of the mental health sector and landscape, including knowledge of appropriate services and organisations.
Be able to offer personalised support, advice and guidance to individual clients and professionals with a focus on housing needs.
Have the interpersonal skills to build effective professional relationships with stakeholders in the housing system.
