We are seeking dedicated Accommodation Support Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality support to individuals in our emergency accommodation setting.
Responsibilities
Housing Management, ensuring sign ups to tenancies, licencing agreements and taking payments etc.
Carrying out regular occupancy checks such as managing health and safety and ensuring correct occupancy numbers.
Develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
Recognise signs of deteriorating mental health and initiate appropriate interventions to prevent a crisis.
Regularly review action plans and review assessments in line with Hope's policies and practices.
Maintain accurate records, ensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
Participate in case management meetings to discuss resident progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
Other responsibilities than those described above may be required to be undertaken from time to time and will be expected to be performed to as long as it is within the capability and level of the person.
What we are looking for:
Experience of working with people of complex backgrounds, ex-offenders, people with mental health issues, substance misuse issues and challenging behaviours.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with residents, team members
IT Proficiency, ability to learn new software programmes, Microsoft Office experience.
Understanding of the housing and social needs of people with multiple complex needs
Able to influence and negotiate positive outcomes with others.
A caring attitude with a genuine passion for helping others improve their quality of life.
Relevant qualifications or training in health or social care would be advantageous but not mandatory.
Strong skills in behaviour management.
