Summary

To be a team member within a Lettings Department, primarily responsible for manging letting enquiries and carrying out viewings, but also processing tenant applications through to move in, liaising with landlords, carrying out checkouts and the production of inventories.

You will be part of a larger team but will be required to be able to use your own initiative and work independently when required.

We are a family run business based in Bradford City Centre, we are an estate agent who sell and let properties.

Responsibilities

1. Meeting customers in a professional but welcoming manner

2. Representing the company in a professional manner at all times, this includes a good telephone manner and the ability to create polite informative emails

3. Dealing with telephone enquiries from prospective tenants effectively, ensuring they meet the criteria

4. Matching potential tenants to the correct properties we have on offer

5. Managing the viewing diary independently

6. Liaising with landlords updating them regularly

7. Taking applications from prospective tenants in the form of an initial meeting through to the moving in process

8. Processing payments (deposits + first month's rent etc.)

9. Occasional property inspections when required

10. Performing checkouts and completing reports to clients when required

11. Production of inventories and Schedule of condition reports

12. The ability to handle any problems that should arise with properties or clients

13. Good interpersonal skills and ability to quickly form professional relationships at all levels of seniority

14. Any other duties as deemed necessary to assist the team

PAY DEPENDANT ON EXPERIENCE

Skills Required

1. A driving licence is essential for this post

2. Previous sales and/or customer services experience would be preferred

3. Excellent communication skills

4. Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision

5. Accurate, numerate and computer literate

6. A team player with excellent organisational skill
