We are a haulage business with several associated companies, operating from our Cardiff office. We are seeking a motivated and organised Bookkeeper/Assistant Accountant to support the company's accountant and contribute to the smooth running of our financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will assist with a variety of accounting and administrative tasks, including:
Managing the
purchase ledger
Handling the
sales ledger
Completing
bank reconciliations
Preparing
draft VAT returns
Preparing
draft accounts to trial balance
Using Sage accounting software
for day-to-day bookkeeping tasks
Carrying out
general office administration
as required
Experience & Skills
Experience is
ideal but not essential
Familiarity with
Sage
is beneficial, though training can be provided
Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills
