The Role

We are hiring a UK based Account Manager to take ownership of client relationships and act as the trusted point of contact for a portfolio of businesses.

You must have prepared accounts before and understand tax. Technical competence is essential. However, this role is best suited to someone who enjoys client conversations, explaining numbers, and being front facing, rather than sitting quietly processing work all day.

You will work closely with the Director, attend client meetings, and ensure clients feel supported, informed, and confident in their finances.

Key Responsibilities

Acting as the main contact for a portfolio of clients Managing client emails, calls, and meetings Reviewing and discussing bookkeeping, VAT, and accounts with clients Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts and corporation tax computations Answering client queries around tax, compliance, and deadlines Explaining financial information clearly and in plain English Maintaining high standards of accuracy and communication

About You

AAT qualified minimum, or ACCA qualified or studying Practice experience is essential, or ACCA with strong exposure to accounts and tax in industry and now moving into practice Confident preparing statutory accounts and understanding corporation tax Comfortable speaking to clients and leading conversations Organised, professional, and able to manage responsibility independently Enjoys being client facing and building long term relationships
