As the business continues to expand, we are seeking a
skilled and motivated Accounts Manager
to lead our financial and accounting operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring financial accuracy, maintaining compliance with UK standards, and managing budgets and cash flow to support sustainable growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts, P&L statements, and financial reports in line with
UK GAAP
.
Monitor and analyse cash flow, revenue, and expenditure to ensure financial stability.
Oversee VAT, PAYE, and Corporation Tax submissions, ensuring full
HMRC compliance
.
Coordinate annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Implement and maintain strong internal financial controls and procedures.
Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and Head Office on financial matters.
Provide management with cost and margin analysis, financial insights, and recommendations for process improvements.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in
Accounting, Finance, or Business
.
Accounting or financial management experience
, ideally within hospitality, retail, or food service.
Strong working knowledge of
UK GAAP
,
VAT
,
PAYE
, and general HMRC requirements.
Proficiency with
Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks
, and strong
Excel
skills.
Excellent analytical and organisational abilities with strong attention to detail.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with management and non-finance teams.
