Role Overview
The Account Manager plays a key role in supporting the growth of NEP Connects' managed services, connectivity, and media solutions portfolio by identifying, developing, and supporting new business opportunities across existing and prospective customers.
The role holder will work closely with commercial colleagues, technical teams, and customers to develop solution-led opportunities, contribute to bid responses, proposals, and long-term account growth initiatives. This role is well suited for a commercially driven individual looking to develop their skills in complex managed services, solution selling, and long-term customer partnerships within a global organisation.
Success will be measured through effective account management, pipeline development, contribution to deal closure, customer engagement, and revenue growth, aligned with NEP Connects strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and develop a defined portfolio of customer accounts, supporting retention, renewals, and incremental revenue growth
Identify and progress new opportunities within existing customers, including upsell and cross-sell of NEP Connect services
Own and manage small to medium-sized commercial opportunities, while supporting senior colleagues on larger, strategic deals
Build and maintain strong working relationships with customer stakeholders at operational and management levels
Contribute to solution-led sales of NEP Connect services, including managed services, media connectivity, cloud, IP, and hybrid workflows
Support the preparation of RFP and RFI responses, commercial proposals, pricing models, and internal approval documentation
Support contract renewals, variations, and commercial negotiations in line with company governance
Collaborate closely with technical, operational, finance, and legal teams to support solution design and commercial structures
Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, and CRM data
Develop a strong understanding of NEP Connect's services, delivery model, and customer value proposition
Attend customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows to build market knowledge and relationships
Represent NEP Connect professionally in all customer and partner interactions
Contribute to internal collaboration across NEP Group businesses and teams
What we're looking for:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Commercially aware, with an understanding of pricing, margin, and contractual principles
Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities concurrently
Proactive and collaborative approach, with a willingness to learn and develop
Comfortable working in a matrixed, cross-functional environment
Developing negotiation and influencing skills, with appropriate guidance and support
Interests and Background:
Experience in account management, sales, business development, or a related commercial role
Exposure to solution-based or technology-enabled services environments
Experience or strong interest in the media, broadcast, connectivity, or live production sectors
Typically 2-4 years' experience in a relevant commercial role
Degree or equivalent professional experience preferred but not essential
