About the role

The role of the Account Manager is to retain and grow revenues from an agreed set of managed partners, and proactively generate opportunities from an agreed set of unmanaged partners. You\xe2\x80\x99ll also be responsible for inbound enquiry management including new partner business activity.

Working closely with the Head of Business Development you\xe2\x80\x99ll help maximise the opportunity within the Partner Division install base building and executing an outbound contact strategy to proactively gathering insight on such things as partner wallet share, partner-business strategy, industry trends and competitor threats to support and help shape divisional strategy.

You\xe2\x80\x99ll use your ability to build strong working relationships to gain exposure across all levels of our partners, including key decision makers, and develop strong internal teams to deliver on key responsibilities.

You\xe2\x80\x99ll work individually, as a member of a desk-based Account Management Team and as part of a wider Partner sales team, to deliver the sales targets and objectives as set by the division.

You will have a thorough understanding of the channel market and significant knowledge of both Zen\xe2\x80\x99s and competitor\xe2\x80\x99s portfolios. Excellence in delivering customer service is a pre-requisite as are proven sales skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Retain and grown revenue in line with Zen\xe2\x80\x99s growth targets against an assigned set of partners
  • Proactively hunt and generate sales opportunities within non-managed Zen partners
  • Handle inbound enquiries professionally, taking ownership and sharing responsibility within the team
  • Create and manage sales account plans completing and maintaining whitespace records for all partner engagements via Zen\xe2\x80\x99s CRM system
  • Act as a single point of contact for queries or issues and liaise with the relevant internal teams
  • Achievement of all targets and KPIs
  • Develop the skills and knowledge required to sell Zen\xe2\x80\x99s full portfolio of products and services in accordance with end user requirements
  • Manage all opportunities effectively via Zen\xe2\x80\x99s CRM system
  • Maximise revenue and margins by cross and up selling, whilst adhering to Zen\xe2\x80\x99s sales principles and divisional sales strategy
  • Provide reporting as required by Zen\xe2\x80\x99s Partner Senior Management Team
  • Take responsibility for building and maintaining industry and competitor knowledge, sharing knowledge with the wider virtual team and business as appropriate
  • Take a continual improvement approach to all elements of the role
Skills & Experience
  • Detailed knowledge of all services across Zen\xe2\x80\x99s Portfolio
  • Previous experience growing and retaining revenues across a given account base
  • Success in proactively identifying and winning new business
  • Ability to articulate Zen\xe2\x80\x99s USPs
  • Proven track record of achieving targets and meeting KPI\xe2\x80\x99s
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate confidently and professionally
  • Ability to maintain and provide reports using business language to tangible articulate activity, opportunities, challenges and business and industry insight.
  • Ability to deliver presentations and/or proposals to external and internal audiences
  • Ability to think on feet, adapt to change and be creative in solution finding
  • Ability to analyse partner needs and recommend solutions which meet those needs
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills and the ability to prioritise own workload
  • Ability to work on own initiative and in a complementary manner with the team
  • Able to handle account issues in a patient and friendly manner
  • Strong interest in technology and willingness to learn and share knowledge
