About the role:
As an Account Manager, you'll be the primary point of contact for our clients, building strong relationships, understanding their project needs, and ensuring each job runs smoothly from start to finish.
No two days are the same. In this role, you'll be:
Quoting for clients and managing project enquiries
Checking on job progress and resolving any issues
Liaising with our technical team to ensure project milestones are met
Using the CRM to track, update, and manage project workflows
Visiting clients on-site to strengthen relationships and oversee developments
Collaborating across teams to keep delivery on time and on budget
Key Responsibilities
Build and nurture long-term client relationships
Gain a deep understanding of client goals and utility requirements
Act as the key communication link between clients and internal teams
Contribute to new business through both inbound leads and outbound activity
Manage quotes, proposals, and front-end admin via the CRM system
Plan and organise multiple live jobs with attention to detail
Negotiate pricing and timelines with clients
Manage change effectively in a fast-paced, technical environment
Support continuous improvement through learning and collaboration
You will have:
Strong organisational and time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication
Confidence to liaise with clients, suppliers, and colleagues
Self-motivation and a desire to succeed
Good numeracy skills (quoting, pricing, negotiating)
A willingness to learn and grow professionally
Experience in a sales, utilities, or project management role (preferred, not essential)

A typical progression looks like the following, but high performers may move through stages more quickly:
Year 1: 9-Month Trainee Programme
6 months supporting our operations team to learn the technical side of utilities projects
3 months with the sales team, helping with quoting, chasing leads, and processing applications
Year 2: Assistant Account Manager
Salary increases to 27,000
You'll begin managing accounts and growing your client base, with increasing monthly targets
Commission: up to 10%, with top performers earning between 4,000 and 10,000
Years 3-4: Account Manager
Salary increases to 30,000
With a larger account base, you'll work in higher commission bands (up to 10%)
Commission: 10,000 minimum for target hitters; high performers can expect 10,000-30,000
Year 4+: Senior Account Manager
Salary increases to 35,000
You'll manage a steady pipeline of high-value clients
Commission increases to up to 12.5%
Commission: minimum 22,000, with high performers reaching 22,000-80,000
