Accounts Manager
will play a key role in this process by managing financial reporting, compliance, and budgetary control to ensure the company's financial integrity and adherence to statutory requirements.
The Accounts Manager will oversee all financial and accounting activities in line with
UK accounting standards
and
corporate governance
. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, coordinating audits, managing cash flow, and providing strategic insights to support business growth and acquisition plans.s.
Responsibilities
Manage all day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts, balance sheets, and profit-and-loss statements.
Monitor and analyse cash flow, revenue, and expenditure to ensure consistent financial stability.
Develop, implement, and maintain robust financial controls, processes, and reporting systems to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Coordinate the annual budgeting process and provide detailed variance analysis to senior management.
Oversee VAT, PAYE, Corporation Tax, and other HMRC-related filings, liaising with external accountants and auditors as required.
Prepare forecasts and financial projections to inform business planning and investment decisions.
Advise management on cost-control measures, pricing strategies, and operational efficiency improvements.
Ensure full compliance with the
UK Companies Act
, financial reporting standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in
Accounting, Finance, Business Administration
, or a related field.
Experience
in financial management, preferably within the
automotive, retail, or service
sectors.
Strong working knowledge of
UK GAAP
, internal financial controls, and statutory compliance.
Proficiency in accounting software such as
