We're seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Account Manager (Web Projects) to join our dynamic team at SM92. As an end-to-end digital marketing agency with a growing presence in the USA, operating across specific niche markets, we specialise in generating high-quality marketing campaigns across multiple sectors.
At SM92, you will serve as the key liaison between our clients and our internal web designers, working closely with suppliers to ensure seamless project delivery. You will support the business through strong client relationships, translating technical and creative concepts into client-friendly terms, and contribute to agency growth through strategic oversight and exceptional communication.
Responsibilities
Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, confidently engaging with senior client stakeholders to discuss design concepts (Figma), website functionality (WordPress, Gutenberg), and technical requirements (HTML/CSS), ensuring their needs are clearly communicated to internal teams and suppliers.
Collaborate with internal web designers, and external suppliers to deliver tailored digital marketing strategies and web projects that align with client goals, leveraging your understanding of Figma, WordPress, and HTML/CSS to facilitate effective communication.
Oversee the client onboarding process, coordinating with internal teams and suppliers to ensure seamless integration into agency services, including the setup of WordPress sites and design workflows.
Translate client feedback and requirements into actionable directives for web designers and suppliers, ensuring alignment between client expectations and project deliverables.
Review design prototypes in Figma with clients, gathering feedback and relaying it to creative teams and suppliers to ensure alignment with client branding and campaign objectives.
Strong understanding of WordPress to discuss website functionality and content management with clients, relaying technical requirements to development teams and suppliers for execution.
Leverage knowledge of HTML/CSS to interpret client requests related to website aesthetics or functionality, communicating these effectively.
Analyse campaign and project performance data, providing clients with actionable insights and recommendations, and coordinating with wider suppliers to incorporate SEO best practices where applicable.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts, proposing enhancements like improved website features or SEO optimisations to maximise service utilisation.
Mentor and guide junior team members, sharing expertise on client management, effective communication with technical teams, and best practices for collaborating with suppliers.
Contribute to agency by identifying emerging digital marketing trends, including SEO strategies and web development practices, and integrating them into client discussions.
Manage multiple high-value accounts simultaneously, balancing strategic oversight with attention to client communication and project coordination.
Represent the agency in client meetings, pitches, and industry events, showcasing expertise in digital marketing and web project coordination to reinforce our reputation for excellence.
Work with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of project components, maintaining clear communication and quality control without overseeing the technical build process.
Use project management tools (e.g., Monday.com) to track project progress, coordinate with teams and suppliers, and ensure client deadlines are met.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, you will need:
Proven experience as an Account Manager, Senior Account Manager, or Project Manager in a digital marketing or web development agency, with a focus on acting as a liaison between clients and technical teams.
Deep expertise in digital marketing principles, with a strong focus on lead generation.
Strong understanding of Figma for reviewing design prototypes and facilitating client feedback to creative teams.
Familiarity with WordPress and the Gutenberg editor to discuss content management and website functionality with clients and relay requirements to technical teams.
Working knowledge of HTML/CSS to interpret and communicate client requests related to front-end design and functionality, without performing hands-on development.
Experience with SEO strategies and best practices, including on-page optimisation and keyword research, is highly desirable.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts (Figma, WordPress, HTML/CSS) into client-friendly terms and discuss them confidently with senior stakeholders.
Advanced proficiency in CRM and project management software (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Monday.com) and MS Office Suite (particularly Excel).
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client accounts, coordinate with technical teams and suppliers, and deliver results under tight deadlines.
A strategic mindset with a passion for driving client success, fostering collaboration, and contributing to agency growth.
Experience mentoring or guiding teams, with a commitment to developing talent and sharing knowledge in client management and supplier coordination.
