Job purpose/ key responsibilities
The key role is to manage all aspects of the customer's needs, their business account and their relationship with IMV Imaging. Our customers include private and corporate owned veterinary practices, non-veterinary customers and other businesses within the territory.
The key responsibilities include the following -
Develop and promote IMV Imaging as a leading company within the veterinary industry and marketplace, develop relationships and engage with all customers, veterinary practices and members of the agricultural industry
Develop IMV Imaging's values; innovation, quality, excellence, integrity and learning, to build confidence in our brand and our products with the territory.
Engage with our existing customer base by building relationships and fully understanding their clinical needs within their business, and maintain strong long-term relationships
Engage with all veterinary practices to find new potential customers and build upon our market share, identifying new business opportunities and potential leads
Develop relationships with key opinion leaders within various sectors of the veterinary market including small animal, large animal and equine practices
Understand the clinical needs of a veterinary practice in terms of diagnostic imaging equipment, find solutions which will make their workflow easier, encouraging customers to consider new imaging options that maximise return of imaging with their business.
Demonstrate deep understanding of high-end ultrasound systems, including advanced imaging modes and their applications
Stay current with technological advancements and clinical applications relevant to cart-based ultrasound platforms
Have a comprehensive understanding of clinical work ups particularly in reference to cardiology
Demonstrates the ability to effectively translate complex ultrasound technology into clear, clinically relevant insights tailored to diverse audiences -- from technical experts to end-users -- ensuring understanding, engagement, and confident adoption of high-end cart-based systems
Develop full knowledge on IMV's product portfolio - small animal, farm animal and equine related products covering the following modalities - Ultrasound, Xray, Endoscopy, therapeutic and surgical lasers
Provide sales quotations and advice on suitable equipment, carry out successful demonstrations of equipment to all customers and follow up on sales opportunities to develop and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities
Arrange installations and training as required following purchase of equipment
Follow up with customers, consistently checking in and ensuring that their needs are met
Team collaboration - work closely with other departments within the business; service teams, customer care, marketing, finance etc to provide a seamless service to our customers
Liaise with the service team when customers need advice or repairs to ensure customers are reassured and supported, be the conduit between the customer and IMV Imaging and take ownership of customer related issues
Learn and use IMV's Customer relationship management (CRM) system. Keeping relevant customer information, account details and opportunities up to date on the CRM system.
Attend general account manager quarterly meetings held at our head office in Scotland, and occasional account manager training days held in GB
Engage in regular team meetings with the general management team in Ireland and with other business department representatives as required
Travel away from home as and when required (all accommodation and travel expenses will be reimbursed)
Education and/or experience required

A vet, who has had prior experience within the veterinary industry as an account manager or has experience in a similar role
OR an individual with a human imaging background with experience as an account manager
Good understanding of the veterinary industry within Ireland
Previous sales experience would be an advantage
