Here at Gallagher, we are looking for an Underwriter to join our Real Estate team in Chichester.


We are happy to consider candidates on a full-time (hybrid) or part-time (21 hours) basis. Responsibilities:

• Act as one of the senior referral points and provide appropriate underwriting support on a number of key Real Estate accounts
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients and insurer partners
• Work closely with the leadership team on improving reporting, processes and procedures
• Work alongside Real Estate teams on large and complex accounts in considering relevant underwriting responses and solutions
• Assist in the mentoring and coaching of team members

Qualifications:

• Strong underwriting experience, preferably with an insurer background from the Real Estate sector
• Experience in dealing with large and complex risks
• Holding or working towards one of the Chartered Insurance Institute Qualifications, Cert CII, Dip CII or ACII would be an advantage. Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent, with an intermediate knowledge of the commercial insurance industry
• Excellent organisational and relationship development skills within a team environment
• Good communication and coaching skills
• Sound IT skills, including Excel and similar
• Eligible to work in the UK
