Shucksmith Accountants is an accountants with practices in Brigg, Scunthorpe, Gainsborough and soon to be Hull. We provide Accounting, Tax & Business advisory services to small & medium businesses throughout the United Kingdom.
Our growing company is seeking an Accountancy Apprentice to join our team. To be successful in this role, you'll have a good eye for detail and enjoy solving problems.
The job role includes analysis, bookkeeping, VAT returns and other ad hoc administrative duties as required, detail below.
During the apprenticeship you will receive ongoing support from Shucksmiths and the apprenticeship provider. This will be from Level 2 or Level 3 AAT, dependent on prior experience.
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, this can lead to a permanent role.
Some of the tasks this role will undertake are as follows:
Sales invoices and purchase invoice processing for Accounts Preparation and VAT returns
VAT Return preparation, including calculating and filing VAT Returns for clients
Working with and assisting Shucksmith team members as required
Answering phone calls from clients and dealing with client communication
Greeting customers when they visit the office
Filing, scanning, and emailing documents
Essential Skills for you to bring to the role:

Pay: 7.55 per hour
Expected hours: 35 - 37.5 per week
