ACCOUNTANT - Compliance Services

Salary: Circa 45,000 (depending on experience)
Full-Time, Permanent

Weekly Hours 40 (Monday to Friday)

Simply UK is a leading development company in the construction sector. It mainly develops high specification nursing homes throughout the United Kingdom. The Group also has involvement in the operation of the nursing homes and the fleet of company vehicles. We continue to grow at pace and have around 1600 employees, spread over 25 locations throughout the United Kingdom.

Applications are invited for an experienced Accountant to join Simply UK, to work closely with the Finance Director. The main focus of the role is to maintain statutory accounts for all the companies within the Group. The role will conduct and support annual audits to ensure compliance across the Group and identify where there may be areas to promote financial best practice and embed process and procedures. The Accountant will also carry out normal accounting tasks that would be required in a Group structure as may be required.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance Director to strengthen financial compliance, promote best practice and identify areas which may benefit from the introduction of new initiatives.

To be successful in the role, the candidate will: be skilled in financial analysis; have a strong understanding of what is required in a statutory context with regards accounts and the preparation and auditing of them; work well independently; have an inquisitive mind; be able to communicate findings to others, clearly, in writing and also at meetings; be organised and diligent; and proficient in the use of Microsoft

Ideally, the successful candidate will be a qualified or part qualified Accountant.
