Job Description
The Accountant role in the FMCG industry will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance to support effective decision-making. This permanent position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional eager to contribute to a fast-paced accounting and finance environment.
- Prepare and analyse financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards.
- Handling VAT and other local tax filings in line with UK legislation, and providing support during audits and tax inspections.
- Manage budgeting and forecasting processes to support business planning.
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Monitor cash flow and provide regular updates to management.
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and filing deadlines.
- Collaborate with other departments to improve financial processes.
A successful Accountant should have:
- Professional qualifications such as ACCA or CIMA
- Will consider candidates qualified by experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience in the FMCG industry would be an advantage.
- Competitive salary range of 50,000 depending on experience.
- Hybrid working, although would be expected full time to start with.
