We are seeking an Accounting Technician / Assistant to join our Teignmouth Office. The candidate should have experience in working in an accounting practice, have good knowledge of accountancy and be proficient with accounting software such as Xero. The role is critical to support clients and other team members.
The Team is great at supporting and helping clients and is very client focused. The role will be working with the whole Team and will also involve regular contact with clients. The right candidate can use this opportunity to develop and progress their career.
Duties
Undertake client bookkeeping, including liaising with the client to ensure that the process is managed as efficiently as possible.
Producing VAT Returns.
Running payroll.
Producing Sole Trader, Partnership and Limited company accounts.
Producing tax returns for the above.
Providing support to clients and colleagues.
Providing clients with Xero training.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a similar position
Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Xero; familiarity with other financial management tools is advantageous.
Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills for problem-solving.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating initiative in individual tasks.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
