We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join Junction 17 Cars. The ideal candidate will have solid knowledge of motor trade accounting, funding platforms, and dealership finance processes. This role involves overseeing daily accounts functions, producing accurate reports, and managing a small team.
Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)
Key Responsibilities
Manage the Accounts Department and support the team
Daily banking, reconciliation and cashflow management
Process and review purchase/sales invoices
Manage motor trade funding platforms (e.g. BCA, Alphera, V12, MotoNovo, etc.)
Complete and submit VAT returns
Produce and finalise accounts, including weekly/monthly sales reports
Monitor stock funding, settlements, fees & interest charges
Maintain accurate financial records and prepare year-end information
Liaise with Directors, funding partners & external accountants
Implement process improvements for accuracy and efficiency
Requirements
Experienced accountant with motor trade background essential
Catalyst & Xero experience required
Confident handling stock funding and finance platforms
Strong VAT knowledge & HMRC compliance understanding
Ability to prepare final accounts and management reports
Good communication, analytical and organisation skills
Able to work independently & manage workload effectively
