About the Role

We are a well-established accountancy practice seeking a motivated

Part-Qualified Accountant or Accounts Technician

to join our growing team.

You will work closely with senior and junior accountants, supporting a varied portfolio of clients and developing your technical and professional skills.

Key Responsibilities

Preparation of year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies Assisting with corporation tax computations and submissions Preparation of personal tax returns (Self Assessment) Preparation and review of VAT returns Supporting senior team members with client queries and ad hoc assignments Liaising directly with clients to obtain records and provide basic advice Ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards and HMRC requirements CIS and PAYE calculations and submissions

Person Specification

Essential:

Part-qualified or qualified by experience Good understanding of UK accounting and tax principles Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Good written and verbal communication skills

Desirable:

Experience with cloud accounting software Experience preparing accounts for owner-managed businesses Working knowledge of IRIS, TaxCalc, or similar practice software
