As Finance & Treasury Accountant, you will provide crucial support to the Financial Controller (FC) in managing the group's financial control environment, statutory compliance, and reporting processes. This role offers hands-on experience, including involvement in foreign exchange (FX) management, treasury activities, and cashflow monitoring. It's an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified or early-career accountant looking to develop practical skills in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities



Assist the FC with the preparation and consolidation of group accounts in accordance with UK GAAP, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Reconcile balance sheet accounts and key ledgers Complete statutory compliance activities Help coordinate the statutory audit and liaise with external auditors Work with the FC to review and improve internal controls across the group Help monitor daily and weekly cashflow (multi-currency), ensuring accuracy and flagging any variances Assist with the management of foreign currency exposures and treasury-related tasks (e.g. tracking FX positions, updating forecasts, liaising with banks) Preparation of VAT, corporation tax, and other statutory filings Support with the annual budgeting and forecasting cycles providing variance analysis and insights Prepare ad hoc financial analysis and reports as requested by the FC to support strategic projects, investment appraisals and operational performance Maintain clear documentation of financial processes, controls, and treasury procedures

About you



Part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA) Experience in finance, accounting, or audit environments is preferred Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP Strong Excel and IT skills (Experience with Microsoft NAV desired but not essential) Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail Effective communicator able to work with both financial and non-financial colleagues Proactive, eager to learn, and able to prioritise multiple tasks Ability to take direction and support the FC in a variety of projects
