Role Overview:


We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our team. Reporting directly to senior leadership, the Management Accountant will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial health of multiple business entities, managing cash flow, and delivering strategic insights to support informed decision-making. This position also involves managing a finance team and ensuring robust financial controls across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:



Financial Reporting and Analysis:

Prepare, review, and present monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements. Generate a comprehensive monthly management report pack with insights and actionable recommendations.

Cash Flow Management:

Monitor and manage daily cash flow across multiple business entities. Develop and maintain accurate cash flow forecasts to support operational and strategic planning.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

Lead the creation, adherence, and review of annual budgets for all departments and entities. Provide rolling forecasts to align financial planning with business objectives.

Multi-Department Cost Control:

Partner with department heads to monitor expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure alignment with budgets. Conduct variance analyses to pinpoint deviations and recommend corrective actions.

Finance Team Leadership:

Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a high-performance culture. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the finance team, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all activities.

Profit and Loss Ownership:

Take full ownership of the P&L for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and identifying opportunities to optimise profitability. Support strategic initiatives by providing financial insights and scenario planning.

Credit Control and Aged Receivables Management:

Oversee aged receivables, ensuring timely collections and resolving any payment disputes. Implement robust credit control policies to minimise outstanding debts and improve cash flow.

Compliance and Governance:

Ensure adherence to all financial regulations, company policies, and industry best practices. Liaise with auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.

Systems and Processes:

Continuously evaluate and improve financial systems and processes for efficiency and accuracy. Implement technology and tools to streamline financial operations and reporting.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Collaborate with senior management, providing insights and support for strategic decision-making. Act as a trusted advisor on financial matters across the organisation.

Qualifications and Experience:



ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified, with 3+ years of post-qualification experience in a similar role. Proven experience managing financial operations across multiple entities. Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling. Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Exceptional analytical, organisational, and communication skills. Leadership experience with a track record of managing and developing finance teams.
