We're a small friendly, warm, welcoming team of Chartered Accountants based in Macclesfield, and we're looking for an experienced Accountant to join us! While the role is mostly remote with flexible working patterns.

About You:



We're looking for someone who is passionate about accounting and helping clients succeed. If you're detail-oriented, proactive, and have experience in an accountancy practice, we'd love to chat! You'll be comfortable managing your own portfolio of clients, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring everything runs smoothly in terms of compliance.

What You'll Need to Bring:



At least 2 years of experience in an accountancy practice Experience with onboarding new clients and building lasting relationships Knowledge of accounting software like Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage Experience with personal tax returns and statutory accounts Strong understanding of accounting regulations and compliance Excellent people management and mentoring skills

It'd be Great If You Also Have:



A commercial mindset and proactive, solution-driven approach Exceptional attention to detail and great analytical skills The ability to work independently and as part of a team Relevant accounting qualifications (ACCA or ACA)

What You'll Be Doing:



As our new Accountant, you'll be at the heart of everything! Your responsibilities will include:

Overseeing financial statements and ensuring they're up to standard Managing accounts payable/receivable and ensuring everything is accurate and timely Regularly reconciling accounts and maintaining clear financial records Reviewing accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders Preparing tax computations and returns for both personal and corporate clients Managing your own portfolio and being the go-to person for client advice and support Helping junior staff grow by providing training and guidance Working closely with other departments to streamline processes and improve financial performance Getting involved in business development activities to help our firm grow Reporting directly to the Partner

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 35,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 25 - 30 per week
