Sage 50 Certified Engineer For UK Accounts

Job Overview:

We are hiring an experienced professional to manage the migration of nominal ledgers and recharting of accounts into Sage 50.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Migration Audits: Review source chart of accounts. Data Assessment and Planning: Evaluate the source system's nominal ledger and chart of accounts for completeness, compatibility, and potential gaps. Mapping and Customisation: Align source accounts with Sage 50's structure and codes, including categories and control accounts. Validation and Testing: Verify balances, run audits, and test reports to ensure accuracy. Troubleshooting and Optimisation: Resolve errors (data corruption, missing codes) and optimise for reporting (grouping accounts for P&L/balance sheet visibility). Post-Migration Support: Train users, monitor for issues, and handle year-end implications if the migration coincides with fiscal close.

Essential Requirements

Sage certification (e.g., Sage 50 Certified User/Consultant, Sage 200 Professional) or accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA). 3+ years of hands-on experience with Sage 50 Accounts and Sage 200 (UK versions). Experience of migrating and recharting accounts from multiple data sources. Proficiency in importing/exporting data to/from Sage 50 and Sage 200 (e.g., CSV, Excel). Strong understanding of UK accounting standards and HMRC compliance.
