Job Description

We are looking to expand our sole trader team with an AAT Qualified (or similar) Accountant to join our accountancy firm to assist with the completion of Sole Trader Accounts and Self Assessment Tax Returns.

Working primarily with Pet Professionals throughout the UK, our practice supports hundreds of clients from small sole traders to larger limited companies with a variety of tax and payroll services whilst delivering a quality, professional yet friendly and approachable service. Trading as The Pet Accountant, we are the go to accountancy firm for all pet professionals from pet stores to dog boarders, trainers, walkers and groomers.

We are not like your typical accountancy firm and thats why our clients like us so much. From our casual dress to our engagement with our clients at events such as Crufts and the Pet Industry Federation awards our close knit team with a family feel really shines through. So much so we have been finalists at the Accounting Excellence Awards two years running. So whilst your skills are important - so is your personality.

If you are an AAT Level 4 or similar qualified accountant and you want to feel valued, an integral part of a team, want your own portfolio of clients to manage and enjoy working with all aspects of tax from self assessments of sole traders and partnerships to corporation tax returns and annual accounts then we would like to hear from you.

In return we offer 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am till 4pm, a competitive salary, additional annual leave for years service starting with 33 days per year, bonuses based on the practice achievements and sign on bonus for any clients you bring on board.

This role will primarily be working with Sole Traders on the completion of Sole Trader Accounts and Self Assessment Tax Returns, so experience of completing self assessments is essential.

Please note that applicants only based in the UK will be considered for this role.

Pay: 28,000.00-35,000.00 per year
