The Role
As an Accountant at Hammond & Co, you will play a key role in supporting the accounting functions for a growing portfolio of clients. You will be responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and reliable accounting services while building trusted relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
This role is ideal for someone who is accurate, systematic, optimistic, and self-reliant, with a genuine passion for learning and professional development. While we value existing experience, we are equally committed to supporting your continued growth and development within the firm.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting the day-to-day accounting needs of multiple clients
Preparing and maintaining accurate financial records
Working with Xero accounting software
Assisting with bookkeeping, reconciliations, and general accounting tasks
Collaborating with the wider team to deliver excellent client service
Proactively learning and developing new skills as the business grows
What We're Looking For
We would love to hear from you if you have the following fundamental skills and experience:
AAT Level 4 qualification (or equivalent)
Practical experience using Xero accounting software
At least 1 year's experience working in an accounting or similar environment
If you have these foundations, we will support you with further training, guidance, and development in the areas where you need it most.
