We are searching for an experienced Accounting and Financial Reporting Associate Director

Consulting brings together multiple teams across Transactions, Risk & Consulting, Accounting and Outsourcing to provide client-centric solutions for RSM's current and future clients within the middle market. Our Consulting team has a major role to play in driving forward the growth of the firm with over 1,700 people delivering in excess of 200m revenue.
At the heart of Consulting are the six solutions we offer our clients: business transformation, deal services, finance function support, risk and governance, forensic and investigation services, and restructuring. Our solutions create an enhanced tailored approach to support our clients in achieving their strategic goals and empower our people to make an impact and develop their own unique career path.
We are looking for an Associate Director to join our Glasgow office, who is passionate about developing business with new clients and has experience of coaching and developing teams. Our client base has a mixture of entities from large private and Private Equity owned corporates to owner managed businesses.
You'll make an impact by:

  • Leading the delivery of accounting and financial reporting services on a portfolio of clients, always providing a premium service, whilst taking an active role in the growth of the department through the identification of opportunities and associated business development activities.
  • Having a strong awareness of IFRS,FRS102, FRS101 and Companies Act reporting requirements.
  • Having a key focus on business development, working with the Partner Group on business plans and participating in targeting and lead generation.
  • Managing the working capital of projects, including budgeting, cost management, billing and debt recoverability.
  • Managing relevant AFR team's performance, ensuring appropriate objectives set and development plans in place for junior members.
What we are looking for:

  • Fully qualified Accountant (ICAS/ACCA or equivalent).
  • Complex UK GAAP reporting including group reorganisations and consolidations.
  • Strong technical skills, with knowledge of IFRS, FRS102 and Companies Act reporting.
  • Business development experience.
  • Experience as a Line Manager with advanced coaching and development skills.
  • Proven ability to quickly build rapport with client principals and colleagues.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills.
