This is a standard for an accounting assistant / coordinator.
Position Overview
The Accounting assistant / coordinator is responsible for supporting the finance team in managing vendor invoices, processing payments, and maintaining accurate records of accounts payable transactions. This role ensures timely and accurate payment to suppliers while adhering to company policies and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Process and verify vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper authorization.
Enter invoice details into the accounting system and match with purchase orders.
Prepare and schedule payments (bank transfers, checks) in line with agreed terms.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
Maintain organized records of invoices, payments, and related documentation.
Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status and invoice issues.
Support internal teams with expense report processing and compliance checks.
Ensure adherence to company policies and relevant accounting standards.
Accounts Receivable tasks might be involved when needed
Requirement
Experience in finance and accounting
Proficiency in English is mandatory
Proficiency in Japanese or Chinese is preferable
