We are currently representing an established, owner-managed manufacturing company with over 40 years of experience in supplying, installing, and maintaining highly-engineered products for businesses throughout the UK. As a result of continued growth, and to ensure ongoing success, they are looking for an Accounting Manager to join their team.
The Role
This is a newly created position that will support the Finance Director and assist in the day-to-day management of the accounting and finance function in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment. As the Accounting Manager you will contribute to the robust maintenance of financial controls and reporting, monitoring budgeting and forecasting, managing payroll and liaising with external stakeholders on audit and tax matters. You will also support ongoing commercial initiatives and ad-hoc projects to increase efficiencies and reduce costs across the business.
The Candidate
As a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA) you thrive in high-volume, fast paced environments in rapidly changing, entrepreneurial businesses. You possess excellent communication and presentation skills and demonstrate the ability to work under pressure and deliver high-quality output to tight deadlines. You demonstrate strong knowledge of project costing and payroll and ideally will have worked in the manufacturing or engineering sector previously.
