How you'll make an impact
To provide accounting expertise to ensure seamless integration into BAU activities, including review of SPA and liaising with M&A and Integration teams and vendor, within a growing organisation.
To manage and provide guidance to the Assistant Accounting Manager and Senior Accountants, on their tasks within the team.
Detailed integration analysis, including process mapping and discovery documentation.
SOP preparation and handover of applicable tasks to offshore team.
Ensure SOX requirements are fully met, and all transitioned work is in line with Gallagher FPMs.
To assist the Acquisition Manager in production of accurate acquisition management accounts, and relevant commentary, within the tight reporting deadlines for the Gallagher Global Brokerage UK (GGB UK) function.
Build positive relationships with senior stakeholders, including the GGB UK Finance Directors, Senior Finance Managers and relevant operational business heads, acting as key contact during month end close.
Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations to verify the accuracy of management accounts and perform monthly, quarterly and year-to-date variance analysis to budget and prior year on P&L.
Production and review of other ad hoc reporting on expense items as requested by Business heads and senior finance staff.
Assist in production of GGB UK statutory board packs and financial accounts
Assistance and support in response to external and internal audit requests.
Liaising with offshore processing team to control posting of month end journal transactions and balance sheet reconciliations.
Collaborating closely with Finance Business Partners and other departments out with General Accounting team to provide support for queries as they arise.
Build relationships within the wider General Accounting team, and across other regional teams.
Produce ad-hoc reports and completion of technical tasks for the Senior Finance Manager as requested.

About You
Essential: CA, ACCA, or ACA qualification, coupled with a background in professional services or experience in a large and complex business environment
Experienced in managing a small team
Preferred: Experience with US GAAP and SOX compliance
Preferred: Experience in acquisition accounting and/or project management, or in implementing new processes and controls
Ability to prioritise tasks and meet demanding deadlines
Adaptability to thrive in a dynamic environment
Meticulous attention to detail
Agility in handling multiple tasks and diverse environments
Experience in process redesign and implementation
