Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee our financial operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial management skills and be proficient in accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, and Xero. This role involves managing accounts payable, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and working as part of a team of business professionals to maintain the integrity of our financial data.

Duties

Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable. Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Oversee the month-end closing process and ensure timely reporting of financial results. Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency. Coordinate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation. Analyse financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and changes in regulations affecting financial management.

Requirements

Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or similar role in a finance department. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero is essential. Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. Strong organisational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred; professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) are advantageous but not mandatory.
