We are looking for an experienced and organised accounts assistant to join our friendly team.
Duties
Maintaining accurate financial records using Sage 50 and Excel.
Processing complex sales and a high volume of purchase invoices using our in-house parts system.
Preparing accurate month end BACs payments to supplier.
Reconciling monthly supplier statements, chasing and resolving any discrepancies.
Processing monthly sales statements and liaising with customers regarding any overdue accounts and queries.
Raising all company invoices in excel from completed data and checking credit limits
Answering the switchboard and directing calls to relevant department
Receipting and despatching of post
Ordering stationery and office supplies
Support accountants and meeting deadlines with month/year end tasks.
Work independently, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Manage a busy workload whilst ensuring compliance with financial controls.
Experience
Proven experience in an account administration or similar finance role
Proficiency in accounting software Sage essential
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial record keeping
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Prior experience in managing multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy is highly desirable
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: 13.50-14.80 per hour
Expected hours: 25 - 30 per week
