We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Account Administrator to join our finance team within our property management/development business. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial record-keeping. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic organisation, supporting the smooth operation of our financial processes.
Responsibilities
Manage and maintain accurate financial records using the accounting software Xero
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions in a timely manner
Reconcile bank statements and control accounts and ensure all financial data is correctly entered and up-to-date
Assist with preparing financial reports and statements for management review
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
Liaise with vendors and clients regarding invoicing and payment queries
Ensure compliance with organisational policies and relevant financial regulations
Maintain organised filing systems for all financial documentation
Skills
Proven experience with accounting software - preferably Xero
Proven experience with Excel
Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable processes and general ledger management
Excellent organisational skills with keen attention to detail
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Able to prioritise work schedule to meet demands of the business
Deal with suppliers and customers
Fluent English speaker
GCSE results (or equivalent) at minimum level of 6 for English and Mathematics
This position is ideal for candidates who are meticulous, proactive, and eager to contribute to the efficient management of organisational finances. Prior experience with accounting software is highly desirable, along with a strong grasp of basic accounting principles.
