Job Summary


We are seeking a highly organized and experienced

Accounts Administrator

to manage the day-to-day financial operations of our business. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing

accounts payable and receivable

,

credit control

,

VAT submissions

,

HMRC compliance

, and

weekly/monthly payroll

.
Experience with

QuickBooks

is essential, and knowledge of

Dext

will be a strong advantage.

Duties



Accounts Payable & Receivable



Process supplier invoices, payments, and staff expenses accurately and in a timely manner.

Credit Control



Monitor debtor balances and proactively chase overdue accounts. Implement effective credit control procedures to minimize bad debt. Liaise with clients professionally to resolve payment issues and queries.

VAT & HMRC Compliance



Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns through QuickBooks. Ensure all HMRC filings and payments are accurate and submitted within deadlines. Assist with year-end financial processes and external audits.

Payroll & Employee Administration



Process weekly or monthly payroll in line with company schedules. Ensure compliance with PAYE, pensions, and statutory requirements. Maintain employee records and assist with payroll queries. Including submission of CIS on HMRC

General Financial Administration



Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records. Support month-end and year-end close processes. Assist management with financial reports and cash flow monitoring. Collaborate with accountants and external advisors when required. Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies. Raise customer invoices and ensure prompt collection of outstanding payments. Manage customer accounts and maintain accurate records of transactions.

Requirements



Extensive experience with QuickBooks (Online or Desktop)

- essential. Knowledge of

Dext (Receipt Bank)

- desirable. Strong understanding of accounting principles and UK financial regulations. Experience handling

VAT returns, HMRC submissions, and payroll processing

. Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 14.21 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 16 per week
