Hitherbest is a family-owned and managed sheet metal fabrication business, that has been operating for 40 years. We are looking for an Accounts Administrator to join our friendly team. The post-holder will be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of the company by issuing invoices, controlling credit, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with statutory duties.
Duties
Maintain company records including reconciliation of Sage purchase and sales ledgers and bank reconciliation
Issue invoices and statements of account to customers and manage aged debt
Check supplier invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes and ensure payments are made within terms
Prepare and submit VAT return
Prepare monthly management accounts and reports
Record and manage expenses claims, ensuring appropriate authorisation is in place
Provide financial information for grant and tax reclaim applications
Maintain the fixed asset register
Maintain the gifts, entertainment and hospitality register
Answer finance-related queries from customers and suppliers
Liaise with external accountants regarding the preparation of the annual company accounts
Manage the archiving, storage, retention and destruction of financial records
Triage and direct company enquiries by telephone, post and in-person
Greet visitors and ensure fire safety compliance
Administrative tasks to meet the needs of the business.
