We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Account Administrator to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance across financial records. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for finance and strong administrative skills to contribute to the smooth operation of our organisation.
Duties
Maintain and update financial records using accounting software such as Xero
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently and accurately
Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial data is correctly recorded
Assist with preparing financial reports and statements for management review
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
Liaise with vendors, clients, and internal departments regarding financial queries
Ensure compliance with organisational policies and relevant financial regulations
Organise and file financial documents systematically for easy retrieval and audit purposes
Skills
Preferably proven experience with accounting software such as Xero. However, someone that is IT-savvy / quick to learn on IT will be considered.
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general ledger management
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry and record keeping
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Basic knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards

The job is working Monday, Friday and one other weekday, preferably Tuesday or Thursday. This is because the role will be working alongside another accounts administrator that works Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
