Job Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Account Administrator to join our team, part time 24 hours a week. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial records, processing accounts payable, and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting functions. This position requires proficiency in various accounting software and a strong understanding of financial processes.

Duties



Raise and process sales invoices promptly. Process and post purchase invoices accurately. Complete daily bank reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy. Process payment runs. Payroll - for a small number of staff Dealing with petty cash.Answer and forward all incoming phone calls. Raise Purchase Orders. Ensure the office area is always kept tidy and presentable. Maintain site security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the front office. Perform other administration duties such as filing, photocopying. Making sure office stationery supplies is kept well stocked. Opening job bags and closing them off. Creating delivery notes. Creating and managing documents, spreadsheets and presentations Handling customer stock sheets and doing stock takes. Ensuring maintenance schedules of machines are maintained, arrange appointments with suppliers. Speaking to customers and clients to answer queries and resolve issues

Team working



Covering for others (where applicable) when they are unavailable.

Skills:



Professional attitude and appearance. Solid written and verbal communication skills. Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise. The ability to apply common sense in handling competing priorities. Customer service attitude. A pleasant telephone manner. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience with accounting software (ideally sage 200) Good spelling and punctuation. Good general attention to detail. Organisational skills.

Experience:



Bookkeeping: 1 year (preferred) Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)
Salary of 25,000 pro rata
