Due to continued expansion, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Accounts and Payroll assistant to join our team. This is a permanent role working 30 hours per week (over x5 days) We also offer a hybrid working arrangement with every Thursday and Friday working remotely if required. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll, as well as supporting various administrative functions within the finance department. This position requires a strong understanding of payroll systems and accounting software, along with excellent data entry skills.
Responsibilities
Process payroll for employees accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Manage employee payroll queries.
Assist in the management of accounts payable functions, including invoice processing and payment tracking.
Perform data entry tasks related to payroll and financial transactions with a high level of accuracy.
HR Administration.
Liaising with suppliers.
Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information as required.
Any other ad-hoc duties as required.
Requirements
Proven experience in a payroll role is required.
Xero experience preferred.
Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent analytical skills to interpret financial data effectively.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with colleagues across departments.
