We are looking to employ an accounts and purchasing administrator for day-to-day office tasks. An ideal applicant will have pre-existing good telephone skills and a decent understanding of computer use at the office level. An outgoing nature, a trainable mind, and an ability to work quickly and respond to changing information rapidly are key personality traits for an optimal fit for the position.
Further qualifications and experience within the field of medical gas or medical devices are not important in this role. Specific understanding of our systems and quality management will be trained here regardless, but a history with Sage packages and accounting principles is an important platform for an ideal candidate. With that said, there will be many skills which are required in the fullness of time in this position which we do not expect a starting applicant to come with, and so the ability to learn new skills is also vital.
On a day-to-day level, this role involves reading and responding to supplier and customer accounts communication and communicating with our Oldham factory to make sure we purchase the right goods for it. You will be the main line linking our suppliers to our production staff. To begin with, this will be in a supervised way, though in with experience this role has autonomy to allow you to use your creativity and intelligence to get the job done. By the time the position has matured, this is a highly trusted role with high access to business critical functions.
The training opportunities in this role are broad, and the expected growth is substantial. Nevertheless, any evidence of understanding any more complex systems from your own life or background will be a benefit in the application process and could separate a good applicant from a fantastic one, no matter how unrelated they may seem.
The primary skillsets which will be useful for consideration for the role are Accounts Administration and Purchasing, particularly in the Sage Line 50 platform.
The broad nature of these skills mean that we do not necessarily expect any applicants to tick every box. If you think you might be a great candidate in some spheres of this position, but not in others, please apply regardless!
We look forward to hearing from you.
