We are seeking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of the organisation, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in managing accounts payable and other accounting functions.
This role is permanent and will be based in our Toomebridge office.
Immediate start available.
Responsibilities
Processing invoices and managing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments to suppliers and from customers.
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation, including data entry into accounting software.
Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Support month-end closing activities by preparing necessary reports and documentation.
Bank account and credit card reconciliations.
Processing of payroll (full training given if required)
Provide general administrative support to the team as required.
Preparation of statutory reports (VAT, EC Sales, Intrastat)
Other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time
Skills
Proficiency in accounting software package Sage 50 and Microsoft Excel is essential.
At least 2 years experience in a similar accounts role.
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial reporting.
Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written .
A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment.

Required Criteria
Must be legally entitled to work in the UK
GCSE Maths (Grade B or above) and GCSE English (Grade B or above) and at least 3 other GCSEs at Grades A- C
