Accounts Assistant
to bring precision, positivity, and problem-solving skills to our finance team.
About the Role
As our new
Accounts Assistant
, you'll play a key role in keeping our financial engine running smoothly. From processing supplier invoices to coordinating payments and reconciling accounts, your work will ensure suppliers are paid accurately and on time - and that our internal operations continue without a hitch.
You'll also support the wider finance team during busy seasons and provide flexible, ad hoc support when needed. At Albatross, collaboration is key - so your ability to build great relationships across departments and with external suppliers is essential.

This is a full-time role, initially based in our head office in Larkfield. Normal hours of work are Monday to Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm.
Responsibilities
Processing supplier invoices for specified companies by reconciling to in-house booking systems, spreadsheets and Accounts System.
Produce payment runs, ensuring sufficient funds in bank accounts.
Enter transfers and online payments and allocate manual payments.
Ensure all remittance advices are emailed to suppliers
Reconciliation of supplier statements.
Liaise with other departments and suppliers to resolve queries.
Process credit applications as required
Monthly check of aged creditors to ensure payments have been made and correctly allocated for specified companies.
Ensure filing is up to date.
Ensure that all bank details and email addresses are correct and updated on Sage before making payments to suppliers.
Ensure procedures are followed and documented at all times.
Cover and assist other team members as required.

What success looks like?
The right suppliers are paid the right amounts within the agreed payment terms.
Ensuring that purchase ledger tasks are completed in a timely manner so that reporting is not delayed.
Excellent supplier and client (internal and external) relationships are maintained and promoted.
Service team Staff Survey results indicate the Accounts team are delivering an excellent service.
Due to the nature of the role's requirements, number of errors and the financial and reputational implication of these errors need to be minimal.
Consistent delivery of the Key Actions / Outcomes as detailed in the Finance Business Plan
