We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to manage our internal finance and bookkeeping. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Duties
Assist in the preparation and processing of sales invoices and payments for accounts payable.
Maintain accurate records of financial transactions using accounting software such as Xero and Orderwise with the detail to manage anu queries.
Perform data entry tasks to ensure all financial information is up-to-date and accurate.
Support month-end closing processes by reconciling accounts and preparing necessary documentation alongside supplier statements.
Assist with the management of accounts receivable, including tracking outstanding invoices and following up on payments.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations and resolve any discrepancies.
Provide support in the preparation of financial reports as required by management.
Manage and create the monthly payment run.
Manage and process expenses.
Set up new account customer managing credit checks.
Familiar with invoice financing
Skills
Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero is highly desirable.
Experience and qualifications (Part or Full AAT Level 2) required
Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Knowledge of financial services and principles related to accounts payable and receivable.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with team members and external stakeholders.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
