Independent Chemical Distributor of 40 years, seeks individual to work and assist within small Accounts team, covering the day to day finance functions and assist with any relevant project work that may fall due.
Role
The position is for an accounts assistant role based in Brackley, Northants at our head office. The candidate will want to gain a good solid accounting background and develop new skills. We can also offer support in completion of the AAT qualification
(if seeking additional work support and a finance qualification).
Main duties will include full nominal/purchase/sales ledger management, stock control, bank account and reconciliation, expense/credit card management, fixed assets handling, various provision and analytical work. Plus any other office tasks that may fall due (as per detailed job description).
The role will be largely supervised yet will require a degree of initiative (when working alone).
Person
Whether working on your own or as part of a team, you will experience regular interface across all other departments within the business, both internally and externally, as well as with customers and its supply chain.
We are looking for a self-motivated, methodical and hard-working individual, with exceptional organisational and time management skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills required, and the ability to meet deadlines, whilst undertaking the day-to-day role/function is essential.
The ability to positively approach new challenges, in an everchanging industry/environment would also be beneficial.
Knowledge of basic computer/finance programs would be advantageous (In particular Sage 200 or Microsoft Dynamics 365 software packages), although not essential. Must have a good attention to detail.
Package
Salary 24500-27500 depending on experience and qualifications held/needed (where applicable) with full training and course/qualification costs provided in addition to assist with personal development.
The Company offers an annual Bonus/Performance related pay scheme in addition to salary, 25 days paid holiday (increased days with additional service) and contributory pension scheme once probationary period met.
