It was founded to offer customers a complete cash and carry Hair and Beauty wholesale solution based on a high level of personal service and commitment. Since then the company has grown from strength to strength. Our large stock holding facilities and multi-million pound turnover enable us to meet the stock requirements of all types of hair and beauty salons

The Accounts Assistant role will be based at our Bradford head office - BD12 7HW

You will work from 8.00 - 5 Monday to Thursday, and 8.00 - 1.30pm Friday with half an hour unpaid lunch.

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE:



To support the commercial function of the Company contributing positively to the profitable running of the business through the preparation of accounts information, provision of advice to Directors and Managers and through the implementation and monitoring of effective financial/business controls, safeguarding the Company assets.

MAIN TASKS



Reconcile Bank Account on a daily basis, reconciling payment batches from various payment platforms

Reconcile PayPal Bank Account on a monthly basis to Opera

Ensure refunds are uploaded correctly to Opera on a timely basis

Producing reports on excel for Sales Director to calculate Quarterly purchase figures for selected suppliers

Emailing supplier promotional invoices and contra to Creditors Ledger

Maintaining Cash Flows for Company Accountant when necessary

Assist with end of year Dennis Williams and JML preparation and procedures.

OPERA - interrogating the system to produce financial and sales data regularly.

Input accounting data into the accounting system with speed and accuracy.

Assist in the production of financial statements and applications, preparation of spreadsheets, reports and correspondence as required.

Plan organise and manage own workload to ensure your contribution to the Company's monthly financial reporting process is achieved in a timely and accurate manner.

Preparation and presentation of financial reports for meetings to support Company Accountant

Maintaining and transferring money between bank accounts as required.

Resolution of finance related queries - creating solutions to new financial challenges by applying financial/treasury knowledge.

Liaising with other areas of the business as required.

To be aware of and adhere to all the Health and Safety regulations and policies applicable to your position and environment.

KEY TECHNICAL SKILLS



Excel Spreadsheets, Pivot Tables, Sum IF, V Look Up

Knowledge of Branch IT systems & process including OPERA

Telephone systems

Microsoft Office

Other Duties



Due to the size and complexity of the business you will undertake any other reasonable tasks or duties that are deemed to be within your capability

as directed by a senior manager to whom you have a reporting relationship.
