We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processing transactions and maintaining financial records. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your accounting skills within a dynamic organisation, working with a variety of accounting software and financial systems.
Responsibilities
Process purchase invoices and supplier payments
Reconcile bank accounts and supplier statements
Assist with credit control and customer invoicing
Assist with stock control checks
Assist with maintaining the fixed asset register
Process employee expenses
Collaborate with the finance team to resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance with organisational policies
Assist in month-end closing procedures and audit preparations as required
Maintain organised filing systems for financial documents and correspondence
Requirements
Proven experience with accounting software such as Sage 200
Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail
Knowledge of accounts payable processes and financial services operations
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Previous experience in an accounts assistant or similar role is preferred
AAT qualified or part-qualified( or equivalent experience)
