We are looking for a

Accounts Assistant

to support the finance function across our group of growing businesses:

This newly created role reflects our rapid business growth and offers the opportunity to become an integral part of a dynamic and ambitious team. You will work closely with the Finance Director and Operations Director, providing day-to-day support in managing financial processes and helping to ensure the smooth running of our finance operations.

Key Responsibilities

Daily bank reconciliations and monthly reconciliation of supplier and customer accounts Process purchase invoices and prepare daily payment runs Manage and process employee expenses in line with company policy Investigate and resolve discrepancies in accounts and payments Maintain financial records and assist in month-end closing activities Manage direct debits, standing orders, and general bookkeeping tasks Assist with preparing VAT returns and supporting financial compliance Contribute to the preparation of financial statements and management reports Provide administrative support and assist with ad-hoc projects as required by the Directors

Experience & Skills

Required:

Minimum 2 years' experience in an Accounts Assistant or finance support role Experience in invoice processing, reconciliation, and ledger management Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks preferred)

Desirable:

AAT qualification or actively working towards a recognised accountancy qualification Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, or management accounts

Pay: 25,000.00-30,000.00 per year
