We are looking to hire an Accounts Assistant to join our head office team and be an instrumental part in the delivery of our monthly accounts. The successful candidate will be diligent, detail-orientated and have an enthusiastic and hard-working approach and also be able to work well within a team.
The role will be on a Permanent basis and is part-time 24 hours per week. Office Based and paid between 25,500 to 27,000 FTE, depending on experience.
Main Roles & Responsibilities:
Purchase Ledger - Obtaining and entering supplier invoices, posting supplier payments, reconciling supplier accounts, dealing with account queries and preparing a fortnightly payment run.
Bank Reconciliations - Posting bank payments and bank transfers. Reconciling the main bank accounts on a weekly basis along with a weekly reconciliation of the company credit cards. Obtaining any missing invoices and receipts from suppliers or in-house personnel.
Cash Reconciliations - Performing daily reconciliations of petty cash accounts and posting petty cash payments. Assist with and post cash banking.
Other Additional Smaller Tasks:
Assisting with any additional Month End tasks and reconciling and maintaining general ledgers.
Credit Control - helping to chase outstanding debts.
KPI Production - Created weekly to manage and monitor performance in depots.
HR Admin - Assist with setting up new employees, sending out starter forms, contracts & training.
General Office Administration - Filing accounts correspondence and any other general admin.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
Previous experience preferable, however full training will be provided.
Experience in the use of Microsoft Office would be beneficial. Particularly Excel & Outlook.
Prior experience using Sage 200 Standard or other similar accounting software.
Previous experience of working across multiple companies would be beneficial.
High attention to detail combined with prompt task completion.
Good communication skills, verbal and written.
Able to multitask and deal with a busy office environment.
Excellent organisation skills.
AAT qualified or part qualified welcome.
